Srinagar, Sept 26: Jammu and Kashmir Government has decided to resume the commercial operation of Gulmarg Gondola Section-I (Gulmarg to Kongdoori) on weekends.
The Gondola will be thrown open for public on Sunday, September 27, which is commemorated as the world tourism day. Gondola operations at the famed Gulmarg tourist resort were closed in view of COVID19 pandemic in last week of March.
As per the concerned authorities the operations will be carried out only on Saturdays and Sundays by observing requisite protocols of Covid19 viz maintaining social distance, sanitization of cabins before and after boarding and de-boarding of passengers, compulsory wearing of masks by all, etc.
No tourist shall be allowed to board the Gondola without wearing of masks and any tourist with a temperature exceeding 99° Celsius shall not be allowed to enter the premises of the ropeway. This is for the information of all the tourists visiting Gulmarg.
